DULUTH, Minn. — A local band is hoping to make a big splash on the national music scene, according to a news release.
RoseFire, of Batesville, has entered Maurices’ “Small Town Sound” band search. Maurices created this contest in partnership with PlayNetwork and Sonicbids to discover the next famous female-fronted band.
More than 500 bands are vying for their big break.

Gaining recognition in Batesville, the band RoseFire has been treating local youth to live music and entertainment at The Depot since its reopening in July.
RoseFire, now a house band at The Depot, will be performing Friday at the first Reasons Music Festival at Riverside Park to raise awareness about the importance of keeping all waterways clean.
And on Saturday, RoseFire, The Awakening and the Chris Tedeschi Band will be opening for Kingsdown in tribute of the 9/11 tragedy nine years ago.

Rosefire is a high energy, christian alternative rock band. The female lead vocals mixed with their head banging music makes for a unique sound! Bringing exciting stage presence and great crowd interaction, RoseFire creates exploding entertainment with a good message for people of all ages! The group has backgrounds of influence going back to the "The guess who" current influences are skillet, flyleaf, fireflight, and the white stripes just to name a few.
