"Rosewood"

It seems this Scottish five-piece are on a roll.

The band mix the spirituality of Joshua Tree-era U2 with the swagger of The Cult's call and answer guitar sound.

It's A Wonderful Word is an upbeat rock anthem, part Cult part Echo and The Bunnymen.

Her Believer is familiar to any fans of U2 with traces of the Irish band's With or Without You. Final track Wired, with its ballad tempo and lazy guitars, owes more to Bon Jovi.

Rosewood are aiming for stadiums.

"Well Supported"

As for the support band, Rosewood, they are gonna be HUGE!!!!!!! For a support band, they just rocked the house - brilliant sound, and great tunes. - John Ashton - Thunder Forum

Bio

The band was formed from a three-piece acoustic set-up with Cello on lead guitar, Chris O'Donnell on rhythm guitar and Boylan on vocals. Acclaimed performances at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and a support slot with super group ‘The Collective’, together with gigs at many local venues throughout Glasgow and Edinburgh convinced the three that great things lay ahead for Rosewood.

Steady rehearsal, writing and performing followed and as the band grew together, they blended their own individual styles, tastes and experiences to present what was Rosewood's debut album: "Based On A True Story".

From there Rosewood embarked on a series of electrifying gigs, including an extremely successful tour supporting classic rockers ‘Thunder’ during the Scottish leg of their 2007 UK tour. This included playing to sold-out venues such as the Glasgow Carling Academy and Inverness Ironworks.

It's the nature of rock'n'roll that line-up change is inevitable and so it was for Rosewood. Core members Cello, Chris and Grant didn’t have long to wait, however, before some new blood was injected to revitalise both the band and their sound. David Henderson has been a gigging semi-professional drummer/percussionist for over 20 years, playing drums with every kind of band under the sun. Dez Burleigh, a highly-regarded vocalist from Glasgow, screamed onto the scene shortly thereafter to give the band a fresh young look, as well as the individual sound and presence of a world class front man, worthy of a band of such high calibre.

Rosewood is ready to rock n' roll for years to come!
