Bio
Roslyn is a group of great friends, which shows in their music. The band has been together since April 2008, but all members of the group have been in a variety of different musical projects since a young age.
Roslyn has been impressing fans and critics alike since their first show at an outdoor summer Festival. Their influences in many different kinds of music are obvious; funk, classic rock, jazz, retro pop, and pscyhadelia. Roslyn combines all these musical ideas and gives them a unique fresh pop-rock sound. Their songwriting is intelligent and danceable. Some songs such as Your Love Takes Me are rockin’ and catchy, while White Flowers shows a more sensitive, soft rock side of the band. Roslyn is also a very hardworking band; looking at their past shows, there hasn’t been more than a week break since their first shows in the summer.
All members are professional musicians and Roslyn is constantly writing more material and playing together. They’re playing all over Western Canada with more bookings coming all the time. Roslyn’s live show is energetic and fun to watch. They’re love for the music shows when the play and they always have the dance floor packed.
Roslyn has attractively packaged demos, T-shirts, stickers and posters for sale to their fans. Roslyn has airplay on local radio stations in Winnipeg such as HOT 103.1, UMFM 101.5, KICK FM 92.9, CKUW 95.9 and also in Steinbach on Mix 96.7 FM. They also filmed an episode for online TV station AmpedUp TV and are scheduled to appear on Winnipeg’s CityTv Breakfast Television.
