Lyrics

What If I...

Written By: Rosslyn Picton

What if I saw you as real
No second thoughts to appeal
What if I saw you as true
No more wrecking crew
Shrug at those disruptions, they have fallen away
Stumble past disapointments, that no longer sway.......me

CHORUS: It's hard to remember when I stopped myself
From wanting you to love me, and not somebody else
What if I.....Believe

What if I see you as here
Take two steps up and get clear
What if I just take your hand,
Map our lives out in the sand
Over and Over, 'til the end of time
We will say "I love you"
Nothing else can define.........it
CHORUS

BRIDGE: Tell this girl inside me, to stop waiting for the rain
Pull those dreams out of the sky, please
Release them on their way.

CHORUS: It's hard to imagine why I stopped myself, from wanting you to love me
And not somebody else
What If I....Believe

Return To Me

Written By: Rosslyn Picton

All the children, are sleeping sound
All the women, gather round, while the Men bid them farewell. Through the morning mist are the gates to Hell

He's leaving me, with his hand on heart. A fearless traveller taking on the dark. Now the women all bow their heads, black veils hide the tears we shed

Chorus: Go with St. Christopher, around your neck. And the warmth of the sun o'erhead. As I fall down on my knees..My only prayer You'll return to me.

As I lay me down to sleep, I hear them marchin' through the crooked street. As the candle burns down the night. I am missing my only light.

Chorus: Go with St. Christopher around your neck. And the warmth of the sun o'erhead. As I fall down on my knees, my only prayer, that you'll return to me.(Repeat last line)

Bridge: Ringing bells of mourning, waiting for the word. I feel his arms around me, but his voice, I have not heard.

Chorus:

My heart is cold, for he has fallen, a box of letters and this old medalion. Tears that fall, have set me free, for he has returned to me.

Chorus

Tell The World, You've Just Begun

Written By: Rosslyn Picton

It was a warm night, early in September
How I wanted to hang my lights outside
But then a cold wind, blew me back to my safehouse
Lock your doors, girl you ain't ready for this ride
Then a little voice said, Life don't wait for no one
Little voice said, time won't stop for you
Open your arms, (go and) stand beneath the big sky
Little voice screamed, here's your chance to catch the Moon

Chorus: (Or you can) Count the days 'til winter comes
You can close your eyes, 'til the day is done
If you rise to shine, your face to Sun
You can, tell the world you've just begun

The cradle won't rock me forever
The air is sweeter outside these four walls
It's just the bad dreams that kept me in this dark room
Can't outshine the longing for it all
Then a little voice said, life don't wait for no one
Little voice said, time won't stop for you
Open your arms, go and stand beneath the big sky
Little voice screamed, here's your chance to catch the Moon

Chorus:
Bridge: Scarlet feathers above my head
Get me to the Mountainside
There before me in deepest red
Get me there before I die......

Chorus/End

Discography

Nothing released as of yet. I have a demo, and have tried to upload one of my songs, but Sonicbids is not allowing it. I don't have MP3 at the moment. I will look into this.

Set List

I have a few originals and I also do some cover songs, by some of my favorite artists like, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Shawn Colvin. My set list depends on how long I am given to play.
