Despite Rosy Street hailing from New York, they eschew the buzz of the metropolis to mine an altogether more rural, twangy seam of music with gorgeous pedal steel and deep, deliberate vocals that evoke Leonard Cohen.
Currently they only seem to have two tracks streaming on Bandcamp, and bar a Tumblr blog and Facebook page, not a lot more information is available. However, both tracks really are excellent and are well worth spending some time with. - MadMackerel.com

Bio
Rosy Street has a rare twang in this city that calls back to sounds scattered about in country music and Americana influence. Glissando produced by a pedal steel guitar (Jon DeLorme) coupled with resonate deliberate vocal melodies (Kyle Avallone) and content saturated lyrics are all part of the Rosy Street charm and sets it apart from many of the standard folk acts of today. Rosy Street has its truly unique brand of sound which is bound to grow and flourish with unique vines into other genres. Even in its early blossoming stages Rosy Street has in healthy early stages of making its own footing offering Brooklyn a new sound not commonly seen in its DIY venues. The originality of Rosy Street is not only found in its sound, but where the performances take place. Sharing bills with more alternative based acts is not uncommon, but often is a strange fit.
