Rough House-Last gang in town album 2010

Feeling a bit camera shy

Formed in January of 2009 Rough House was brought together when long time friends Damien Damitt and Zack Hard met with musicians Kris Foisy and Phill Lamarche. After just one jam session the decision to be a band was undeniable and the line up was solidified, Damien Damitt on vocals, Zack Hard on guitar, Kris Foisy on bass, and Phill Lamarche on drums. The band rented a practice space in Kitchener and began work on writing songs. Because they have such a wide variety of influences Rough House has a very unique sound and look, citing their idols as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iggy Pop, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Danzig, Johnny Thunders, Parliament Funkadelic, Black Flag, Lou Reed, The Dead Boys, and The Bicycle Thief. All the members participate equally in writing music. Lyrics are written by Damien. The band played local shows around Kitchener and Toronto until the summer of 09. At that point they recorded a four track EP titled Shut Up And Bleed, which was later released for free online. In late September bassist Kris Foisy left the band to travel to British Columbia and do some soul searching. He was later replaced by Trash, who had played in a band with Damien and Zack prior to the formation of Rough House. Since then, they have written an album worth of original material and continue to build local fame and notoriety. Despite many setbacks and difficulties common for up and coming artists. Rough House continues to follow their dreams and make sincere and passionate music.
