Bio

Rough Night Out was formed in 2010 by Alec Haley (lead vocals, guitar) and Brent Inman (guitar, vocals). Once a month the two would get together with their acoustic guitars and jam. Brent had the opportunity to play a benefit concert and asked Alec if he would join him. Brent also enlisted his childhood friend Kory Sjoberg (drums) to play acoustic percussion. Kory suggested using a full drum kit and bringing in his former bandmate Joshua Patterson (bass, vocals) to round out the rythm section.

The quartet quickly learned an hour of 90's covers. They played the benefit at Port of Blarney under the name Tazer Friendly just two weeks after originally coming together. An enourmous response to the all-90's set prompted Alec, Brent, and Kory to continue learning songs. After a two month tour with his other band, Josh came back and joined Tazer Friendly full time. They began officially playing shows as a band in early 2011.

That summer Tazer Friendly recieved a notice from the company TASER International to cease use of their name. The band was confident they could win the legal battle and continue using the name Tazer Friendly. But with a full schedule of shows and lack of legal funding, they ultimately decided to change their name. The band announced the new name, Rough Night Out, June 24th, 2011 on 102.3 XLC and played their last show as Tazer Friendly that night at Austin's Fuel Room.

Since the name change, Rough Night Out has been commanding an audience all over Illinois and Wisconsin. Their unique song choices and energetic live performances have made them one of Chicagoland's fastest growing party bands, and a fresh alternative to the stale cover scene. The boys don't stop there. Keep a look out for original Rough Night Out material in the near future.
