Rough Waters

When you hear the phrase rough waters spoken it conjures up images of a racing river smashing against rocks and carrying anything that gets in its way downstream.
When you hear the band Rough Waters some of those same images come to mind but personified by this three-piece band from a city known for its river and its sometimes rough waters.
Rough Waters is a 3 piece rock band based out of Richmond, Va. where the music scene is over crowded with emo and hard-core music.
Self-describes as a raw-alternative-rock band, the group has only been recording for two years now and have recently cut a four song demo CD displaying what the three of them knew all along, they make good music. Considering their musical influences, which ranges from The Eagles, Bad Brains, and Sublime to name a few, sky’s the limit for this trio.
There was a time where bands nestled in garages and basements worldwide were the driving force behind a music industry that was shaped by A&R’s who were dedicated to finding that next sound to develop and procure. In a day and age where success is expected instantly Rough Waters hopes that their tide can help wash away the predictability of their beloved rock music.
