Bio
Music, they say, is all about tension and release. You could say that about any aspect of music - form, melody, harmony and rhythm. Maybe you could also say it about life, and the relationship between life and music. Roundhouse's first jam sure felt like an example - an epic, four-hour jam-a-thon that only stopped when the cops showed up. Release from a lifetime of tension, you might say, and Brent, Greg, Brendan, and Katie certainly aren't strangers to tension, with a total of fifteen years of music school between them. When music is the stress in your life instead of relief, you've got a problem, but it turns out that music - specifically, Roundhouse - is the answer for these four talented musicians. Listen to the music and you'll understand. It's the sound of four people doing what they love (five, when they're joined on stage by the very talented Betsy MacDonald). There's a bit of the Police in the mix, and a bit of Heart and Zeppelin, Blondie and the Chili Peppers, No Doubt and I Mother Earth - and even a bit of the jazz and classical they all studied. Check out the tracks. Or better yet, go to a show. Rock & roll is release, and Roundhouse always deliver.
