Roxanne Miller

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Roxanne Miller is a singer/songwriter with an incredible ability to articulate herself in a way that never leaves her audience desiring more- its always a complete sound. Even as a little girl it was quite obvious that she had an extraordinary talent for both singing and writing. From the time she had the ability, reading and writing consumed her- day and night, where ever there was light and even sometimes where there wasn’t. Singing came much later for her. She didn’t quite realized the singing ability she had until she joined her church youth choir and would go home and sing the song’s lead vocals to herself. One day, at the age of 9, her opportunity came. It was one Sunday morning during a youth service when she sang “If Everybody had Jesus”- the reaction of the congregation is a memory that still lives in her mind. Not only did she sound good to herself (at home!), but she sounded good to everyone else too! That felt great!

Coming from a family who’s roots were dug deep in the foundation of music, it was no big surprise to anyone who knew her what her ultimate dream would eventually become. It was the same dream her older brother, cousins, father, aunts, and uncles all had… Anyone who shared her blood HAD to make music! And so she began working with a close family friend, Promise and his production company, Positivibes. She would write full as well as partial songs for the label and its artists. While enjoying the satisfaction of knowing that she had this creative outlet, there were still days when she’d realize that she was not living up to even half of her potential- there had to be more. It wasn’t until a few events that most would call unfortunate took place in her life, but for her they were far from misfortune- it was her wake up call.

Currently, this young artist is focused on songwriting- her first love. She anticipates the journey that it will take her on and is way past due for the trip. She’s inviting the people who know a good thing when they hear it to get on board… This time she knows where she’s going and she’s not waiting for anyone!

In 2008, Roxanne will be in Los Angeles, California honing her skill and working with artists, producers, promoters and publishers who are willing to take advantage of the opportunity to work with her. As her creative energy and lyrical maturity continues to grow she is now realizing how different her sound can be, her ability to manifest a desired sound and how to get exactly what she wants from her music.
