Heading down a musical road together since 2012, the Royal Din hails from central Connecticut and is proving to be a rising star as a great festival musical act. The band is still in its early days, performing at local outdoor town events, private parties, and underground shindigs, but the word of mouth is starting to build from a murmur to a thunderclap.

The Royal Din does not prefer to pigeonhole itself with any particular labels, but everyone in the band is a fan of blues, alternative jams, tons of funk, and good old fashioned rock. There is a level of progressiveness and electronica mixed in, and the repertoire of guitarist Jim McKeeman is renowned for not only rock and blues, but jazz as well. So where does that leave one when trying to sum up the sound of The Royal Din? It is as impossible a task as trying to explain what an apple tastes like to a person who has only ever tasted oranges. This band is a personal experience that defies definition.

Vocalist Lee-Ann Lovelace fronts the show with memorable a range of vibes and personal character. Drummer Tommy Nagy's technical and adaptational abilities make him a sought after live performance and session drummer. Nick DeFala joins Tommy for a perfectly balanced rhythm section, rounded out by the keyboard and organ wizardry of Lee-Ann's husband Dave, who has been known to bust out the '80s keytar on occasional gigs.

The Royal Din has performed live on WPKN in Bridgeport, CT, and a variety of CT clubs including the Shamrock in Waterbury, Sam the Clams in Plantsville, the Spot in Providence, and Cafe Nine in New Haven, and numerous festivals. None of the band members have less than 1,000 hours logged onstage over the course of their careers, so even though "the Din" is just getting legs, it is a band of seasoned, celebrated artists. Everyone on board is looking forward to mini-tours, more festivals, and featured guest appearances in the near future.
