Bio

Roy David Scott played their first full country show at the Eagles Hall in Sparta, Michigan to a crowd of 30 people. Two months later they were opening for Chris Cagle to 900 screaming fans on the Intersection Stage in Grand Rapids, Michigan. That was immediately followed by the Sandy Corley Memorial Run where they opened to a crowd of more than five thousand. Since then Roy David Scott hasn’t looked back.

In 2008 they released their first single, “County Line,” followed by “Make Mine Whiskey,” with both being featured on Clear Channel’s B-93. Soon thereafter they made it into the final four in Kenny Chesney’s “Big Star Contest” and played for Kenny’s street party outside the Van Andel Arena to a crowd of thousands before the show.

2009 has been no different; they kicked off the year in the studio and on May 9 released their first CD, “County Line”. From “Beer League” telling the story of the band’s origins, to Chris Ledoux’s “Hooked on an 8 Second Ride,” this album shows a wide variety of influences and range. So what does the future hold for Roy David Scott? “It’s all about the music and fans! We all love what we do, and it just keeps getting better. No matter where we are, it still surprises us how far people will come to see the band. All we can do is put everything we have into it and enjoy the ride. We are already working on our next album and have plans to start making our way south to the Mecca of county music. All we can hope to do is have fun and meet some new friends on the way.”
