Roy Solis

Roy Solis brings his own brand of Texas Music from the beautiful Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. His new single, " Friday Football Romance", is about finding lasting love during that time of year that just fills us with nostalgia, during Football season. “I grew up hanging out with friends at the local football games and we make so many memories at that time in our lives ,” said Roy, “and we all have that one love we either remember or are still with ..writing a song bout it took me back to a time of discovery we all go through and i hope it does the same for you.” Solis has built a following around the Valley playing at area clubs in the region creating his own unique Texas fun-in-the-sun Rockin/Country sound.

“I’ve had all kinds of jobs from delivering newspapers to driving a truck,” laughs Roy, “I’ve found that I most comfortable on stage. It all started when I won 2nd place in a school talent search in the fifth grade in my hometown of Weslaco. I hope that fans will like it. The Valley was behind on the Texas Music movement, but now it’s starting to catch up with more Texas Music concerts happening down here. I got to be on Fowler Fest with Kevin Fowler, Reckless Kelly and Jason Eddy in July which was a blast. I’ve had the pleasure of opening for Randy Rogers, Josh Abbott, Cory Morrow and others. I’m glad that South Texas is having its place in the scene now. The promoters down here have taken notice of my music and are putting me on the bill with the big guys.
