Bio

Born November  12 , Roy Watters, has had a tumultuous life. After
witnessing his mothers murder at 6 he has always been mature for his
age. He has never known his father so his grandparents took care of him.
At age 10 his grandmother, who became his 2nd mom, died from cirrhosis
of the liver caused by excessive drinking due to the death of his
mother. Four years later at the age of 14 his grandfather, the only real
father he has ever known, passed away from cancer of the esophagus.
This left him, his brother and sister virtually stranded with no one to
care for them. He enlisted into gang-life and crime to help provide what
he and his siblings needed for survival. After being in jail 3 times,
once for 13 months, he decided what was important in life... his dreams
and the well-being of those who love and depend on him. After high
school he entered college and started his music career but withdrew due
to financial reasons. Music has always been a creative outlet for him,
he has been writing since the age of 12,  he therefore decided to take
it serious. He started his career at the age of 20 releasing his first
mixtape "The Next Up" Hosted by Cleveland's Own DJ EV
, a Shadyville/Entourage DJ, in 2009 . He gained a notable buzz in
Cleveland's underground network but became ensnared in the struggle soon
after the release. His uncle evicted him from his house and put a
restraining order against him without any warning. His brother was sent
to a program in Massilon, Ohio and Roy was taken to jail due to
warrants. After serving a few months for minor convictions he was
released. He found himself staying place to place, over friends houses,
and sleeping in 24 hr laundromats and when the police started taking
notice he eventually went to the homeless shelter. Having been seperated
from his sister for years they had a chance meeting at the shelter and
reunited but were both homeless.

He released the highly anticipated "Midwest Magic Vol.1 : Flyest in the struggle" in
mid 2010 independently Hosted by DJ Corey Grand who it turns out was
Roy's best friend in kindergarten. Corey grand recalls "Didn't you used
to have a rat tail on the back of your head? Yea! That was you! We were
bestfriends I even let you borrow my super mario world to help me beat
it !". The cosmic way that Roy and Corey Grand reconnected along with
Roy's own personal beliefs are what coined the "Magic" in Roy's "Midwest
Magic mixtape series". The Mixtape showed his growth as a person and as
an artist and solidified him as a staple in Cleveland's Hip-Hop Scene. In 2011 he took a break from shows and released his first video "Brown and Orange"
a remix to Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" , which catapulted him
further in to the local limelight gathering 10,000 hits in 2 days. In 2011 he released his 3rd mixtape "Mix-a-Six" once again hosted by Clevelands now even bigger DJ EV.
The mixtape show growth through versatility as he began mixing rock and
pop elements into his hip-hop based style along with his new found
appreciation of craft brews and the laid back lifestyle surrounding
them. Then, on December 21st  2012, Roy released his second volume of
his "Midwest Magic"  (hosted by partner and resident DJ Justin Velez) in
the face of armeggedon to prove he and his team will rock out and rep
til the very end. This mixtape show  a change in Roy, a maturity, and
awaking as he uses more metal/punk rock influence and addresses
political and societal issues of the time in a much more and very
appearant aggressive style and fed up demeanor to which his audience
related to and began raising their revolutionary fist with Roy in
defiance of forced oppression.

Roy Is currently Schedule to Release his first Album 'Drug Tray' This
Summer. This a comming of age album the fans who are the only real
family Roy has know have been asking for. After a terrible Break up
follow by a loss of a job followed by more Jail Roy spun off into a dark
world off drug use and solitude and learned many things about him self,
emotions, and the one sided world he lives in today...and that became
the "Drug Tray EP".
