Bio

Jeff Oster and Steve Ruzzo began their musical journey in the mid 1990's after forming an acoustic trio (2 guitars/bass) under the name Geoffrey Stevens Band. Performing the then-popular "Unplugged" renditions of rock and blues in small venues around New England, and exclusively in Rhode Island where they were based. In the late 1990's, they expanded both the band compliment and repertoire by adding a drummer and going electric, transforming into a full-fledged cover band and showcasing a small set of original music in the process. Ruzzo departed the band in 1999, and Oster continued on as the front man for the resulting power trio, Red Mundy. By 2000, Red Mundy had disbanded and Oster relocated to Califiornia, where he continued to write and record original music in his home-based studio. In late 2007, he and Ruzzo, who was still residing in New England, began collaborating long distance on new original compositions. Rozter's music covers a broad spectrum of influences, ranging from the likes of Clapton, Dylan, Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd to Ray Lamontagne, David Gray, Robert Johnson and many others. Their songs might best be described as a mix of rock, blues and acoustic roots music, slanted at times with folk overtones. A CD of original music is nearing completion, and wil be available soon on cdbaby.com.
