Biography

A veritable UN of music and dance, this wildly popular ensemble has built a diverse following during the last 8 years, by bringing a unique blend of World Music (Brazilian, Spanish, Caribbean, African and American rhythms) into Atlanta’s growing melting pot.

These guys, from Brazil, Panama and the US, have established a new breed of sound, classifying themselves as World Music with a strong Brazilian accent.

Recently, Rua 6s local success, has helped their home base venue, Loca Luna, (where they perform weekly) receive the ranking of one of the Top 10 Latin Clubs in the country, according to USA Today. And with everything heading in the right direction, the group promises to keep people dancing.

The band has also performing as opening act for Grammy award winning artists such as Djavan and Bacilos. They have also performed for the Atlanta Hawks and gala events honoring the visists of the Presidents of Peru and Nicaragua.

With their sights on touring and producing their 4th album in 2008, Rua 6 hopes to broaden their fan base throughout the Southeast.
