Bio

Ruby Rae started as the alt country side project of NYC based pop-punk band The Ex-Debutantes in 2010. Her debut release Double Feature could easily be mistaken for a night at the local drive-in when rockn'roll still flirted with its honky-tonk roots.

Backed by a full band on her January 2012 EP "The Outskirts," she explores the outsider element of a big haired, bad behaving, small American town.

Ruby Rae released her debut full length album "Night of the Psychopomp" on Halloween 2012. This collection of haunting songs features a mixture of rockabilly, folk, and blues driven rock and roll. She is currently working on a 2014 EP to be released this summer.

In addition to recording, Ruby Rae plays frequently in NYC, and has toured the East Coast, Portland & Los Angeles.

Press:

"The throwback honkytonk tunes of Ruby Rae [are] darker than your usual singer-songwriter fare, with noir-ish and Southern gothic influenced lyrics. Washington Post
