Bio
Ruby and the Rib Cage is the collective works of Singer Songwriter Ruby, and her backing band, the Rib Cage. They formed in the summer of 2011, after Ruby auditioned over 30 musicians, in the living room of her teeny, tiny east london flat. After searching high and low for a guitarist, serendipity brought Aaron Brookes to the Rib Cage, and the band was finaly complete: Eddie Edwards (double bass), Ellie Garlick (viola and violin), Sam Pert (drums and percussion) and Aaron Brookes (guitar).
Ruby's take on a mix of folk and blues style writings, teamed with powerful, soaring vocals, and an incredibly talented group of musicians, makes for a truly unique and exciting new band.
