Bio

Six years after having played in a band together, long term friends since music studies Ella, Rawiri, and Victoria had the desire to reignite their musical passions. The trio reunited, and began the search for a bass player and drummer.

Enter Justin and Max.

In late 2009 the pair joined the others completing the five-piece act now known as Rubys Letter. Within one month the band had played a few small shows and the Rosemounts open mic night. The start of 2010 saw them play the Swan Basements Gignition and receive an encouraging review from Drum Media. Rubys Letter then went on to play support to big name Aussie rockers, The Novocaines, Jebediah and Grinspoon at this years Wild Oats festival in Northam.

The musical style of Rubys Letter can be defined as pop-rock, though each band member brings their own influences to the mix giving the music a distinctive quality. Blending catchy melodies with groove stricken rhythm this five-piece, savvy group of pop rockers know how to turn wistfully sweet sounds into finely tuned songs. The band has been described as having an infectious energy and an obvious love for performing that radiates throughout their sets.
