Bio

Andrew Knowles, better known by his stage name “Rudeboy” was born in Freeport, Bahamas, where he lived with his mother until the age of three. When he was three years old, he moved to Miami-Dade County, Florida. His father moved back and forth from one city to another, but always maintained a close relationship with his son whether it be through phone or occasional visits. At the very young age of six, Rudeboy’s father was sentenced to prison. At that time, Rudeboy’s life began to take rough turns. His mother moved in with her mother-in-law (Rudeboy’s grandmother) and worked two jobs to maintain a stable life for the both of them. While in school, Rudeboy had a passion for the entertainment industry and attended talent shows as well as plays to perform. By the age of fourteen he started writing music and rapping. He was always writing and coming up with songs whenever he had the chance. It wasn’t until the age of sixteen when he began to pursue his career as a rapper. After sending his music out to some labels, head A&R Mike Green of Platinum Recording Studios, seemed quite interested in this young guys talent. Mike would later allow him access to various studios. This gave Rudeboy what he needed to develop himself truly as an artist. At the age of 18, Rudeboy came to Palm Beach County, unsure whether the music industry was the right thing for him. Putting his rap career on a back burner, he worked two jobs day and night to support himself. It wasn’t until 2 years later when he met local producers, Smif-N-Gunz, that his career as a rapper came back into play. With their connections and his talent they would become an unstoppable team. Rudeboy has now joined Reign Entertainment and started his 2010 career by opening for Akon March 19 in front of a crowd of 5,000. Platinum Producer DJ Blackout has also produced a new album for Rudeboy Da Niceguy. "Don't Stop" is already becoming a huge hit. 2011 has been marked by weekly, packed club performances in South Florida. Rudeboy’s music is available for download on, iTunes, and other digital stores.
