"Brit Rock that Roars"

Rude Tiger - 'Brit-Rock that Roars'
Exploding onto stage like triumphant heroes in front of their ecstatic home crowd, Rude Tiger storm straight into their new single 'Desolate'. Their backdrop - the premiere of their newly produced CGI-enhanced video - combined with their pumping, adrenalin-filled energetic performance, deems every ounce of the crowd's clear anticipation, excitement and approval fully warranted. As the melodic first verse gives way and the track explodes into a heavy rock riff - backed by pummelling rhythm overlaid with a raspy, vocal angst - it becomes ever more clear that Rude Tiger are the "real deal" - and that they really do know just what modern Brit-Rock is all about.
Buzzing from the rapturous reception to the new record and video, the South-Devon based power trio of Jas Morris (guitar/lead vocals), Dan Morris (bass) and D Collings (drums) continue to tear relentlessly through a 90 minute set with unending vigour and commitment. They follow the brilliant and emotive "Why You" with a melodic, passionate and ripping display of spectacular guitar work on "Revelation", the sole instrumental piece of the evening.
As "Revelation" illustrates only so well, Jas is a blazing dynamo of vocally-infused guitar energy, prowling around, slashing his guitar, bouncing excess kinetic energy into the stage and throwing around bad-ass shapes with expressive abandon. Every single solo is executed with merciless precision and passion, and is an absolute testament to the astonishing raw talent and musical ability this guitar sensation has.
With the band crediting The Police as just one of their musical influences, it's no fluke that "Silence" provides a healthy nod towards their work, with the drumming in particular having a very Copeland-esque feel to it.
A welcome romp through "Motorway" is interluded with a supercharged torrent of thundering percussion courtesy of a full-on "D-style" bones-into-dust drum solo. As the audience witness what can only be described as a high energy showcase of drumming virtuosity, Collings' driving, rhythmic command and boundless workrate is nothing short of breathtaking.
The musical feast continues as the next song commences with a haunting perspective, signalling the intro to "Don't take it so Seriously" - another poignant and notable track on their debut EP "Burning Sound".
With shades of contemporary reggae erupting into a catchy rock-inspired chorus, Dan takes centre stage repeatedly punching the neck of his instrument toward the crowd to bait maximum audience participation. He marauds around like a dependable and enigmatic bass talisman, interspersing backing vocal harmony with his trademark volley of funky bass riffage. The band have reached hiatus and are totally on fire with the legendary on-stage synergy of Rude Tiger obvious for all to see.
In a spontaneous display of showmanship, Jas leaves the stage with his guitar still wailing and struts through the crowd, instigating an extended jam and impromptu burst of free-flowing expression - to the obvious delight and self-indulgent revelry of each band member as they surf the tidal wave of effervescent musical energy, until the track reaches a rousing crescendo, indicating the end of the set.
With the crowd well and truly whipped into a vocal frenzy, whistling and cheering for more, the band re-emerge onto the stage to perform an extended encore of the new single "Desolate", before finally leaving the stage with the same heroic status they arrived with.
Having witnessed an hour and a half of sheer musical genius, it's easy to see why Rude Tiger have been opening shows up and down the UK for revered acts such as Feeder, Tiny Tempah, Reef, Toploader, Calvin Harris, Texas, Eliza Doolittle and Wishbone Ash.
Rude Tiger's own support bands on the night included Chasing Hollywood, Echo Rain and The Aurora Skies, all of whom did Rude Tiger an absolute credit, blazing through their own musical catalogues and setting the scene for the headliners.
The after-show buzz and atmosphere from the pumped sea of excited and fired-up fans exiting the auditorium left nobody in any doubt at all that this raging uncivilized feline will be prowling amongst the modern rock music elite in the very short time to come.
If you like the idea of mixing Muse with The Police and adding a little sprinkling of Foo Fighters on top, then this band is simply a must.
You can catch Rude Tiger at their next gigs supporting legendary bluesman Robin Trower at the Cheese and Grain in Frome on 7th October and opening for Ocean Colour Scene in Yeovil on 24th November.
“Desolate” is available to download from Amazon and iTunes, and available on Spotify. The video can be viewed on Rude Tiger's own site, www.rudetiger.com.

'DESOLATE' - RUDE TIGER
Single Review
'Desolate' is the blazing new single from Brit-Rock sensations 'Rude Tiger'. Featuring wailing lead guitar, rocking bass riffs, thundering drums, poignant pauses and anguished vocals, all delivered in a blended Foo Fighters / Muse-esque style, the song delivers on all levels, and passionately reflects the "difficulties introverted people have in dealing with life events and traumas, when people just want to help but end up making it worse" explains lead singer, Jas Morris. Rude Tiger, a South-West based power trio, held the launch party for 'Desolate' at The Yellow Room last Saturday, where fans got to see the exclusive first screening of the accompanying CGI-enhanced video. The single 'Desolate', a re-worked version of the original featured on their 'Burning Sound' EP, is currently sitting amongst the likes of Kasabian, the Foos and KOL in the Amazon Rock Chart and should be right up there on every self-respecting rock fan's playlist!

"A MAJOR LEAGUE BAND"

"Stunning 3 piece band 'Rude Tiger' at Gloucester Guild Hall"

'A word now on Rude Tiger… There are moments when you expect something utterly ordinary but get slapped in the face so hard by excellence you are simply stunned into silence, this was Rude Tiger. Hailing from the West Country this three piece band are new and seriously up and coming, yet they are so incredibly talented it's hard to wonder what will stop them from being massive. I can best describe them as a raw Muse phasing between their ‘Showbiz` and ‘Origins of Symmetry` albums.....[this is] really one group you have to see in order to understand them. Check them out as soon as you can.' - Dez Confait

Bio

Described by Q Magazine as like InMe on amphetamines - Rude Tiger are Jas Morris (award winning guitarist & writer), Jas's brother Dan Morris (bass, keys) & D Collings (drums).

Ok so this year they traded muffins for beer with Tinie Tempah, rocked the stage with Feeder, Reef and Toploader, introduced Sharleen Spiteri (Texas) to Tequila & Orange, showed Eliza Doolitle how to "Blue Steel" & saw our first single DESOLATE storm into the Amazon Rock Charts at No. 2 just behind Kasabian! Check out the video - wer'e pretty proud of it!

After Dark Magazine had these few words to say-
'A word now on Rude Tiger… There are moments when you expect something utterly ordinary but get slapped in the face so hard by excellence you are simply stunned into silence, this was Rude Tiger. Hailing from the West Country (UK) this three piece band are new and seriously up and coming, yet they are so incredibly talented it's hard to wonder what will stop them from being massive' !

This year has definitely been eventful for the band, but lets not forget some of their previous accomplishments:-
Jas Morris winning the UK’s Guitarist Of The Year (sponsored by Guitarist magazine)
Jas Morris becoming a finalist in the INTERNATIONAL Guitar Idol Contest held at the London Music Show
