BIOGRAPHY
Rudi Flores is one the most renowned Argentinean guitarist. Born in 1961 in Corrientes (Northern Argentina) into a family of musicians, he composes and interprets folklore as well as tango music. Since 1984, he plays with his brother Nini (bandoneon) - a revered duo in Latin America and Europe, icons of the renewed tradition of chamam.Rudi Flores dedicates also his manifold talent to Tango, which he has been playing since hisyouth, and owed him to be called on by such great Arg entine bands as Melingo and Gotan Project. Endowed with a singular swing, gypsy-sounding rhythmic base, his blues-like way of improvising tango is rooted in a mysterious and unique technique which combines plectrum and finger playing.Rudi Flores is reviving the little-known tradition of tango on guitar, a fundamental instrument in early tango bands, with a formation of string instruments (guitars, double bass and/or guitar).
