Ruins of Eden

We have been a band now for almost a year and a half. Throughout this time many people have claimed we have a very European sound. This is not too far from our influences such as, At the Gates, Meshuggah, In Flames, Necrophagist with American influences as well as The Black Dahlia Murder, Between The Buried and Me, Darkest Hour and Misery Signals. We simply play music that is the collective form of what WE want to hear. The writing process never stops. We are currently working on a new album, which we hope to be ground breaking. We are quite literally a band of brothers and would die for each other. The stage is our playground and where we feel most at home. The one thing that we would say really sets us apart from other bands would be the respect that other musicians give us wherever we go beyond the actual fans. The E.P. was just a rough idea of what we could do and since then we have progressed ten fold. The songs on the album were the first we wrote between Feb. and June of 05' and were recorded in September of 05'. We rushed the recording and spent about 25 hours on it. Our writing process consists of and has always consisted of Matt and Travis writing guitar parts together then bringing that material to Sean the drummer, then bass, then vocals. One of the greatest aspects of our band is that we are still young. Matt - 18, Travis - 17, Sean 18, Alex - 18, Buddah - 23. Ok, so maybe Buddah isn't the youngest, but he is the biggest kid we know at heart. Matt has been playing guitar for 8 years and this is his first band. Travis has been playing guitar, bass, and piano for 6 years. Sean has been playing guitar for 4 years, bass for 3, and drums for 2 years. Alex has been playing guitar for 7 years, but bass for 2 years. Buddah has been drumming for 4 years and vocals for 2. We delve on being musicians and being very unrestricted in our possibilities.
