Bio

Rukus was born Robert Petrosky Jr. on February 8, 1982 just outside of Wilkes-Barre, PA. Early life for Rukus included dealing with economic hardship and turmoil. Though he enjoyed his adolescence, Rukus would receive a reality check in 2000 when he was expelled from high school. Over the years he listened to a variety of music ranging from Pink Floyd & Alice Cooper to Eminem & 2Pac. After countless hours of researching his influences and perfecting his freestyle skills, Rukus decided to embark on a mission to create Hip-Hop music.

In 2004, Rukus linked with fellow lyricist OZ and beat architect High Def. Over the next 6 years the team would work together on a handful of mixtape projects and eventually link up with Track Masons, who were creating music in the same landscape. Since the merger, Rukus has recorded music with colleagues Bee Ez & Crusafix. He has also performed in front of several audiences, including opening for Bone Thugs N Harmony.

Rukus has heavy involvement with Track Masons most recent compilation, The Product, and is expecting to release his debut solo album late in 2010. The album will include production by Def, Dana B., & JC and is led by the captivating lead singles “My Song" & "Heart Full Of Cracks,” featuring R&B songstress Tracie. Rukus enjoys living life to the fullest and is constantly manufacturing creative methods of expressing his reality verbally. Armed with swagger, authenticity, and fierce delivery, Rukus is determined to etch his way into Hip-Hop notoriety.
