"I'm always looking into the future," he says meaningfully. "The next sound, the next guitar, the next voice. Like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Or the Libertines. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Rooney. Bio
This Venus born dream-rock is a bipolar wash of euphoria and torment. The guitars alternate between distortion and bell-like clarity. Textured synths hum beneath a rock foundation as solid as early-nineties band the Smashing Pumpkins. The female vocals glide tranquilly and then push with tantrum-like sincerity. Their recent release "the Great Escape" is a diverse album that travels from art-rock to trip-hop and isn't without a few highly convincing ballads. They are currently promoting this independent release on college radio and with a handful of West Coast shows.
