Rumbafrica rolls into Newton

Groove to the sounds of African dance band Rumbafrica at a Sunday Evening Heritage Festival. The ensemble's classic Zairian style weaves fast-moving guitar lines, pulsating rhythms, and singing in the Lingala language. Rumbafrica will perform 6:15-8:15 p.m. Sunday at the Newton Centre Green, Langley Road and Centre Street. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Canceled in case of rain. Admission is free.
