Rumdummies

Todd Nelson (guitar, vocals) began playing in bands at age 10 in Rhode Island and has continued on a musical odyssey that has led to being featured guitarist with Rumdummies. Todd performed on Aimee Mann’s “Whatever” CD and has recorded demos with songwriters Jules Sheer and Marshall Crenshaw. In the mid 1990s, he was a member of Boston's Wheelers and Dealers. As a founding member of Fear of Strangers, formerly The Units, he helped put Albany's New Wave music scene on the national map.

Al Kash (drums) began his professional career at the age of 15 in Perth, West Australia where he recorded the highly acclaimed "At the Mountains of Madness" LP in 1971 with Blackfeather. Over the last 30 years, Al has been back and forth between the U.S.A. and Australia, playing with a wide variety of national bands and performers including Savoy Brown, Commander Cody, Billy C. Farlow, Dave Hole, Ellen McIllwaine, Matt Taylor, Fear of Strangers, Fatty Lumpkin, Ben Rogers, and Folding Sky.

Ed Tourge (bass guitar, vocals) has played with a variety of national and local performers, including the late acclaimed saxophonist Nick Brignola, Chuck D'Aloia, Johnny Rabb, and The Rockin’ Dakotas, featuring Eddie Angel of Los Straitjackets. Ed is also a music educator in the Albany city schools and a past adjunct faculty member at Skidmore College and The College of St. Rose.

Pat Conover (lead vocals, harmonica) began his career playing throughout the South, headlining and opening for other musical incorrigibles like ZZ Top, The Night Hawks, Roy Buchanan, Bloodrock, and others. Since moving to Upstate New York he has sung in several regional bands: including The Night Kings, Imaginary Friend and the Boneshakers.

Bob Resnick (percussion) creates a sound that complements the Rumdummies perfectly. A mainstay on the Northeast regional music scene, in recent years, Bob has been playing in a variety of different settings including roots rock with the Meg Johnson Band, piano-based pop with singer-songwriter Anna Cheek, world beat with Mare’s Nest, and jazz-pop with the Shanghai Cowboys.
