Bio

Hailing from the West Midlands of England , Rumours of Spring play a mix of Acoustic music in the Modern Folk genre. They draw on a wide range of influences and a keen listener will find Folk, Rock, Blues and even the odd bit of Jazz finding its way into their sound. The band are currently performing a mix of both covers and originals.

When two soulful voices mix with silver-toned guitar rhythms, lilting flute, wailing harmonica, funked up bass and driving percussion, you end up with Rumours of Spring. Their styles are varied - Rock, Folk, Blues, anything that feels right and interests them but they always retain their individual edge and harmonics.

Founded in March 2012 following a semi-impromptu recording session, Rumours of Spring have the ability to effortlessly switch from a stripped down one man, one guitar set to a blues/rock/folk ensemble boasting a huge array of instrumentation between them including acoustic guitars, upright bass, mandolin, Flute and much more.

Rumours of Spring are without a doubt one of the most versatile working bands available today boasting bookings to play across the UK from Manchester , Betws-Y-Coed, Grantham, Oxford and beyond, even doing some showcase performances including radio appearances. Members of Rumours of Spring have been seen in support of artists such as The Bluetones and The Christians.

Several High profile showcases and auditions followed the band's creation and it was October 2012 when the band signed to Freaky Pug Records who are now promoting the group's existing recordings and will be heavily promoting the 2013 release 'After The Rain'.

Influences; Too many to mention but a few would be... Damien Rice, Gotye, The Beatles, David Gray, Warren Zevon, Alice In Chains, No Doubt
