Rumours of Spring

BandFolkAcoustic

Easy listening, relaxed vocals with beautifully acoustic guitar backing.

Biography

Hailing from the West Midlands of England, Rumours of Spring play a mix of Acoustic music incorporating Rock, Blues and the odd bit of Jazz and do both covers and originals.

When two soulful voices mix with silver-toned guitar rhythms, lilting flute, wailing harmonica, driving bass and bold cello lines, you end up with Rumours of Spring. Their styles are varied - Rock, Folk, Blues, anything that feels right and interests them but they always retain their individual edge and harmonics.

Founded in March 2012 following a semi-impromptu recording session, Rumours of Spring have the ability to effortlessly switch from stripped down one man, one guitar blues to a blues/rock/folk ensemble boasting a huge array of instrumentation between them including acoustic guitars, upright bass and cello.

Rumours of Spring are without a doubt one of the most versatile working bands available today boasting past and upcoming bookings to play across the UK from Manchester, Betws-Y-Coed, Grantham, Oxford and beyond, even doing some radio appearances and other showcases and members of Rumours of Spring have been seen in support of artists such as The Bluetones and The Christians.
