Discography

The band has never signed to a major record label. We do though have a track on a compilation album entitled "This Time You Have Gone To Far". The track "Only The Strong" opened the album track one side one.

We also have a self financed 2 track demo single:

She's Always Running & Times Change - available to be heard at:

A live version of a song called Leanne is also available from Absolute Radio's website. This was performed live to 2 million listeners during a battle of the bands style competition. Over 400 hundred bands entered and this was shot during the boot camp week for the final 3 bands of which we were one. Follow the link below to "One Last Dream":

Bio

British band RUNAWAY, were formed in Birmingham England by Jeff Williams (drummer), and Martin Keith (guitarist). With Martin and Jeff always the driving force at the core, working through various line-ups in the early days, the chemistry finally gelled with the addition of bass player Steve Hill, and vocalist Andy Griffiths (Griff). The band was complete. The band unleashed onto the West Midlands music scene with their very own brand of melodic rock. Runaway toured extensively all over the UK and opened for many major label acts both British and American. We even scored a Single of the Week review in Kerrang magazine with a self financed cassette single featuring 'Times Change' & 'She's Always Running'.

The current Runaway line-up is: Andrew Griffiths (Lead Vocals) Martin Keith Bennett (Guitars & Backing Vocals) Jeff Williams (Drums & Backing Vocals), Matt Williams (Bass & Backing Vocals)

Influences: Nighranger, Bon Jovi, Toto, Journey, Thin Lizzy, White Snake, Gary Moore Michael Shenker, UFO, Killswitch Engage, John Mayer, etc

What makes us different from other bands is our passion and commitment for the band/music. Our songs and our vocal melodies give us our identity! We have strong punchy rhythms augmented by bright guitar lines, played by accomplished musicians of many years.
