I heard about this album from someone who knows a band member and told me I should check it out. I assumed they were just cheering for it since they know someone in the band, so imagine my surprise when I discovered the album is REALLY AWESOME. Catchy, singable tunes that stick in my head, a lead with an interesting voice, and well produced. I've added this album to my regular music lineup and enjoy every single song. I think these guys have something great going and I can't wait to hear their next effort. - iTunes, ThrenJen
Runaway Norm is not on your mothers IPOD. These guys play music like it should be played, with power, intensity, and flashes of genius. Their album is solid. Unlike the mainstream garbage that can fill your ears on the daily. If you like hip, smart lyrics, intensity and intellignece, then these guys are for you... if not, then it's your loss. - iTunes, AZC

Bio
What do you get when you mix 5 friends bored of their day jobs and hand them instruments? Well, for Nick, Tygh, Geoff, Matt, and Mike you get an energy cocktail served on acoustic rock. With an unreal chemistry on stage, Runaway Norm sounds like five guys who got grabbed out of a crowed and asked to play along at a Dave Matthews and Maroon 5 concert.
How did the band get their start? With a swift kick in the ass. After playing their first open mic, they were bombarded with supportive fans and show offers. They immediately formed their own management company and took their first step down the road to success. The rest speaks for itself.
With positive feedback feeding their sails, the boys decided to write 9 songs for a demo CD to help line up better gigs. It worked. By February 2006, they had enough money to self-produce their first album Under Cover From Daylight. Since its release in December of 2006, the album has consistently sold at live shows, CDbaby.com, and on iTunes.
