Bio

RunHym, an innovative duo that consists of Al.Parker Jr. (vocals, keyboards, bass, drums, arrangements, production) and Dwayne Beale (vocals and arrangements) have produced and recorded what I have classified as Gospel Funk. With the release of their first single "Persuaded", RunHym establishes the foundation for "their" sound. Dwayne's power-packed voice is instantly recognizable for its distinct and uplifting nature. Parker's smooth voice, instrumental backing and skillful production are the perfect compliment to Dwayne's deliveries, punching out bold, intricate arrangements that are spirited and heavenly. All of this, combined with the musical genius of remix extraordinaire Earl Peel Jr., aka "Clayton Savage", is sure to inspire you to get your praise on! There is a new sound in the ever-growing world of gospel music and the forerunners are "RunHym". What is their purpose? Their purpose is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world in a contemporary, musical format, with a blend of Jazz, Hip-Hop, R&B and traditional gospel music, to create a divinely inspired, unique and distinctive sound that is their own. However, their talents are not limited just to music. Parker, who is CEO & owner of ISIM Productions, a division of his "ISIM Records & Films" that was formed in 2004, will begin production on a short film in the spring of 2006 that will go straight to DVD for release. The project, titled "The Turn Around" was written and will be directed by Parker himself. When asked how he intends to achieve these goals Parker's answer was very simple, "Complete Faith and Trust in God, accompanied by hard work, determination and developing the mentality of not taking no for an answer. Proverbs 29:18 tells us where there is no vision the people perish." Parker attends Powerhouse Christian Center where he serves as Outreach Minister. When asked about outreach Parker gave us a mouth full. "The church," he said, "more than any other institution in the world does not exist solely for the sake of its membership. We must ask ourselves whether we want to be a comfortable church or a church of great commission. The church exists to be the salt of the earth, the light of the world, the redeeming factor in a dying society. Everything we do must be for the purpose of reaching others for Jesus Christ. God brought Dwayne & I together through our love for Him and our love for those whose souls may be lost. Now, for us to reach the world for Jesus, we must have a passion, an overwhelming desire to see people come to a saving knowledge of the Lord. The apostles were committed to reaching people in their homes as well as by public proclamation if you read (Acts 5:42). Outreach visitation is vital to the growth of the church. It is important for pastors, deacons, and church members to engage in outreach. Our commitment to evangelize the lost must be non-negotiable."
