"With a name that nods to the Velvet Underground and a sound that references the Jesus and Mary Chain, Run Run Run is a favorite of the Los Angeles club scene..." Todd Martens - Billboard
When Run Run Run were in the studio recording their May '06 release of Endless Winter, the band collaborated with Marcus Brown, keyboardist/producer for the likes of Madonna and Richard Ashcroft, and now Brown's sexy remix of "Song and Dance" will be featured on the Australian release of that album. The band offer a different remix on each version of the album they release (the U.S. one boasts an electro-pop snazz-up of Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You"), and vocalist/guitarist Xander Smith told SPIN.com Brown's British club-fueled remix "turns 'Song and Dance' upside down." "[Brown] changed the rhythm section so it's got a heavy dub, Fat Boy Slim-vibe to it," Smith said, which makes sense considering Brown was in the studio with Madonna when he started tinkering with Run Run Run's songs. "Naturally [the track] takes on a dancey, electronic vibe. It's almost like a Madonna b-sides!" - Spin.com
The 5 young men that make up Run Run Run are based in L.A. Their new year's resolution is to pen new songs for a release later in the year and to gig as much as possible. Today's Top Tune is an exclusive, only available to KCRW listeners. It's so local it's called "Pico," the street KCRW is located on!

Bio
Run Run Run is as “indie” as it gets. Based in Los Angeles, Rx3 started in the tiny town of Joshua Tree, CA with a single microphone and just one song. After touring with the Queens of the Stone Age in 2001, singer Xander Smith was invited to make demos at their home studio, where inspiration struck. “If I was free to make any kind of music, what would it sound like?”, Smith asked himself. A seed was planted and has since grown into a rock quintet with one purpose—to make their own music, be self-supporting and stay independent. They write, record, book their tours, design merch, chase girls and win over rock icons/celebrities with just guitars, laptops and skinny jeans. Along the way, Rx3 has released 3 CDs, toured endlessly through US, Canada and Russia, been featured by tastemakers like KROQ, KCRW, MTV, MYSPACE and Reverb Nation and have toured with, worked with or been championed by The Strokes, The Walkmen, Johnny Marr/The Smiths, Adam Lambert, Love And Rockets, Paris Hilton, Phil Cunningham/New Order, Russian Icon Andrei Makarevich, Pyschedelic Furs, Tom Morello, My Chemical Romance, Pauley Perrette, NOH8, Daniel Lanois, Pink, Good Charlotte, The Zombies, Linda Perry and even legendary singer of Journey, Steve Perry. Run Run Run's “Have Rock, Will Travel” 2011 Tour is in support of their latest album “Pico”, featuring such songs as “On and On”, “Song and Dance”, and KCRW's “Top Tune of the Day”, the title track “Pico”.
