Drinkin' Song
Lyrics & Music By: Amanda K. Zahn and Jim Billmeier
(c) 2011, 2012

(Album Version Begins with Acoustic Chorus- Radio/Phone)
CHORUS:
Who says a girl can’t have no drinkin’ song
I’m gonna tell ya honey, I think you’re wrong
Gimme one more shot of patron
We’ll get it and be gone
Who says a girl can’t have no drinkin’ song

Another Friday night, I’m left alone again
While you went out with your friends, and my heart’s on the mend
Ya don’t know what you had,
ya don’t know what you got
You planted the seed and left it to rot

I might not know too much,
But I’ll tell you what I think
You can lead a horse to water baby, but you can’t make it drink
I won’t be led around
Ya (You) can’t keep this good girl down
Tonight I’m goin out and hittin’ the town….

CHORUS
Who says a girl can’t have no drinkin’ song
I’m gonna tell ya honey, I think you’re wrong
Gimme (Give me) one more shot of patron
We’ll get it and be gone
Who says a girl can’t have no drinkin’ song

Guitar SOLOS

After all the nights your gone,
Drinkin’ and havin’ fun
I’m gonna do just what you do and go out and tie one on
I’m turnin’ off my phone
Gonna leave you alone
I don’t know when or if I’m comin’ home

FINAL CHORUS
Who says a girl can’t have no drinkin’ song
I’m gonna tell ya honey, I think you’re wrong
Gimme one more shot of patron
We’ll get it and be gone
Get used to bein’ alone
And no I ain’t comin’ home
Who says a girl can’t have no drinkin’ song
Who says a girl can’t have no drinkin’ song

The first time I saw your smile, I knew that it was fate
Someday we’d be together, no matter how long I’d wait
Hiding how I felt for you was tearing me apart
My love was growing stronger, I could feel it in my heart

Days and nights were filled with thoughts of only you
Forever wondering how you felt, I didn’t have a clue
Then one night it happened, much to our surprise
We both confessed our love, and our love can’t be denied

CHORUS:
Baby I Need To See You Tonight, Can’t Wait Til Morning Light
Walk Through Your Door And Hold You Tight,
Baby I Need To See You
Dance With You All Through The Night, Taste Your Kiss And Hold You Tight
This Can’t Be Wrong When It Feels So Right
Baby I Need To See You

BRIDGE:
It’s drivin’ me crazy baby
This feelin’ inside
If I Can’t Have You Now
I’m Gonna Lose My Mind

Baby I Need To See You Tonight
Can’t Wait Til Morning Light
To Taste Your Kiss And Hold You Tight
Baby I Need To See You
I’ll Walk Through Your Door And Hold You Tight
Baby I Need To See You
