Rush Hour Soul

The Brisbane music scene is one of constant contradictions and contrasts with more and more venues shutting down in it centers, yet more and more talent emerging from it's streets. Brisbane based quartet Rush Hour Soul are a perfect example of a band adapting to the constantly changing environment surrounding them. With an exciting start to the first half of 2011, Rush Hour Soul began to put their... stamp on the small scene of yet to be known talent emerging from the city that sleeps. However, in July the band took a small hiatus after having played a decent number of exciting gigs, to travel and see what the world has to offer with sponge like optimism. This is the Brisbane way, here today, gone tomorrow and back the day after, but only with renewed strength and vigor. Well like all things good in this city they have returned and are only just beginning to showcase the inspiration gathered from their time away from home. Engaging new music, and careful new approaches to the songs that got the crowd grooving previously has meant that Rush Hour Soul are yet again beginning to establish themselves as one of Brisbane's most ambitious outfits.
