Ruskinquartet started out as sidemen playing for numerous bands around Kansas City. There was an undeniable chemistry between the musicians. Starting this journey as a three piece with Brian Ruskin on Guitar and Vocals, Jeramy Johnston on Bass, and Bree Plaster on Drums, they worked out the foundation of the group before adding Caleb Aldrich on Tenor Sax.
Some of Ruskinquartet's influences are: The Bad Plus, Bela Fleck and The Flecktones, Led Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Frank Zappa, The Beatles, John Coltrane,Pat Metheny, Funk, Blues, Experimental, Rock&Roll,Gospel, and many great players that we've been able to work with.
