If you want to hear orignal, creative material that holds a message and glorifies Christ look no further. Russell Burton was called to deliver just that!

Biography

I began writing lyrics around the age of 12. I always dreamed of creating my own music. I was influenced most by hip hop artists such as Cannibus and the Wu-Tang Clan. After accepting Christ in my life as my personal savior I had to change my walk as well as my message in my lyrics so I decided to pick up gospel rap. I saved up my pennies and purchased a Korg Triton and a Yamaha AW16G workstation. Without really knowing how to play I began putting together tracks so I could put my lyrics to. It's been about 2 years since I started producing my own music and all audiences that have heard it love it. I have put together 3 albums of my own and the 4th is on the way. I have also performed for local churches and plan to perform in front of larger crowds. I believe what makes my music different is I have a message in it and from start to finish and it's all about glorifying God not my rapping skills. So now here I am ready to take my music and God's word worldwide.

Holy Workout

Written By: Russell Burton

Holy Workout
(Intro) Yeah Come on now, we bout to work it out, for our Lord Now take your spot let's
go/
(Verse 1) I can't be caught off guard/ Got to be fit for my Lord/ And keep my walk in shape/ Gain sin got to loose that weight/ It tries to hold me down and keep my ankles tied/ But I'm doing bible readings and the prayer kneeling fly/ Lunges and studying jump roping over sin/ Don't evil know it won't win, let the holy workout began/
(Chorus) Now 1 and 2 and 3 and 4/ On your knees a little more/ 5 and 6, 7, 8/ Read His word don't wait too late/9,10 are you tired yet/ We can't stop even when we sweat/ It's a ways we have to go/ Jump on the holy ghost and let's roll/ Work work work it out, work work work it out, work work work it out, work work for our Lord/
(Verse2) Practicing daily rarely is not a good program/ Must watch what you take in the world has massive grams/ Of things that's not good for you/ Eventually destroy you/ Come to God's wellness center and let His team employ you/ When adversity comes, on God's side you should lean/ You don't need soap operas or even creatine/ Just get yourself on up and to that Sunday service/ When you see saints of God there's no need to be nervous/
(Chorus)
(Verse3) Push-ups, sit-ups, praying, fasting, curls, crunches, worship, basking/ In His presence, squats toe raises, dedication singing Him praises/ We going to work it out and praise our Lord/ We going to keep fit and not go back and forth/ Chiseled abs, eager to learn/ In His will sin we burn/ Calisthenics, energetic/ For the meet and prophetic word everything coming to past/ This loose world will not last/ So be ready the door is open/ Join God's team the chains been broken/
(Chorus)
(Verse4) Now everything's not fine and dandy when all you eat is candy/ even thought it might tickle your fancy got you jumping like a chimpanzee/ You may feel good right then but when it fades away/ You are thirsting for His love that holy Gatorade/ It replenishes you makes you feel brand new/ Now you find yourself pressing through weight that you could not do/ Now lay back jumping jacks, react, shout/ Wave of love He's real no doubt/ Twist and turn may your fire burn/ To serve Him calories are slim/
(Chorus & Adlib)

Get It Right/ Keep It Tight

(Intro) Yeah we got to get it right and keep it tight. Just a little inspirational song you know how we do.
(Chorus) He got to get it right, she got to get right, we got to get right mmm/ He got to keep it tight, she got to keep it tight, we got to keep it tight yeah/
(Verse 1) I got to keep it right got to keep it tight/1 know it's going to be a fight if I endure through the night/ I'm going to make it and no I can not be faking it/ God is so awesome kept my heart beating without a break in it/ No mistake in it/1 got a ways to go/ I don't need it all the baker makes the dough/ Hollywood makes stars, assembly line produces cars/ And God made you just as you are so roll with it/(roll with it) go get it(go get it) Your salvation is free how can you miss it/ It's in the air I can feel it not far away/ Lord I won't move until you bless me(bless me)
(Chorus)
What we must do is keep on pressing through/ So we can stand in the sight of the son of
man/
(verse 2) I can't lie sometimes I get off track/ But I get back real quick I can't relapse/ Too long the enemy is searching enemy is lurking/For any and every soul that appears to be hurting or too strong he longs to bring us down/ But we must be like the sky we can never lie on the ground/ And give him a chance idle minds are a devil's workshop/ So if your busy for the Lord don't stop/ Cause he's seeking and reaching on a weekend, Friday night I'm speaking of in the club when your mind is thinking what could be wrong with having some fun I ain't sinning/ Romansl3:14 for the flesh make no provisions/
(Chorus)
What we must do is keep on pressing through/ So we can stand in the sight of the son of
man/
(Verse 3/break) Yo Christ is rocking and locking in souls/ Blessing so many of folds/My cup runneth over/ Healing the sick and the blind/ giving us ample time to have some peace of mind/ So wonderful/ Just call on his name he will be there in a second/ Please try Him and let Him/ He wants you too/ So let's get it right keep it tight pray everyday/ He is the only way (repeat)
(Chorus)
What we must do is keep on pressing through/ So we can stand in the sight of the son of man/
(Verse 4) It's wonderful just having his love, peace and mercy/ Protection and blessing lapping around us like Jackie Joyner-Kersey/ Each and everyday living life to the fullness/ Connecting to Christians around the world and I'm cordless/1 got my shoes off,
