Keyboard duo - Fusion of classical, jazz, rock

Biography

The Russell-Scott Project is a piano duo featuring Emmon Scott and Bill Russell. The focus is on a fusion of styles, often merging well known pieces from the classical, jazz, rock and pop catalogs into new and creative arrangements.
A great example is “Amadaveus” which fuses Mozart’s “Alla Turca” and Brubeck’s “Blue Rondo a la Turk”.

But there is much more. The duo expand their sound by incorporating electronic keyboards, guitars, flute and vocals. They also compose and perform original music in the same fusion/progressive vein.

The joy and excitement the duo experience in performing these works live, comes across in their performances. “Since it’s just the two of us, the ideas flow and we really feed off each other and the audience in a live setting.”
