...For me, what was the highlight of the night? Probably the American “One Man Band” billed as “Rusty Cadillac”, but in reality, simply the musician Ed Russakoff, all the way from Center City, Philadelphia, USA. Ed is a fine blues harp player, guitarist, and singer. He sets up a rhythm stamping his feet, and playing the bass line on his guitar through an electronic device to take the notes down by one or two octaves, which makes it sound just like a bass guitar. He then plays that back using a “sequencer” Then he uses his guitar for both rhythm and lead, adding diatonic harmonica as well. Most impressive and very musical... - BLUES ASIA NETWORK

Bio
Rusty Cadillac started when two local Philadelphia bands, the Rustics and the John Cadillac band, joined forces to start a new band. When that didn't work out Ed Russakoff of the Rustics decided to continue his one man band experiments under that name. Since then there has been three Scandinavian tours, an appearance at the Cebu International Guitar Festival in the Philippines as well as numerous local shows in and around his native Philadelphia.
