RUSTY SPOON live on stage:
When we (Nick Narrow and ManicMat)hit the stage,a combination of funk,
hip hop,trip hop and electronica hits the ears of our brave listeners.
As we all know,computers suck (especially live),so we are bringing ourtracks live to life with turntables,guitar,synthesizer,electric bass and cello.The small gaps (ifstill remaining)are filled by our drummachine
and/or sampler.
Most of our tracks are instrumental,but sometimes we pepper them withvocals from vinyl or our selves.This is how we create a genre-
comprehensive program,that could most likely be described asprogressive and with a great “straight-in-your-face”-factor.
RUSTY SPOON in the club:
To bring our live-sound also into the clubs,we attach our own music to
the dj-set of Nick Narrow.Turntables,sampler and drummachine indicatethe rhythm.Hiphop beats and funk breaks are combined live withsynthesizers and guitar-licks.Our own tracks are giving way to live-
remixes of well-known hiphop-beats,crossing borders even to bigbeat andelectro,while the focus always remains on danceability.
The instruments are being played,scratched and sampled.Combining theknown with the unknown,tuning and recycling until the last healthy earstarts to bleed.
