"Fan Quotes"

Fingers feverishly covering the width and breath of the instruments she had on stage, Ruth Wyand's energy and passion for the music is immediately evident. With a wry sense of humor and a powerful voice, this singer songwriter picks with best and is a multi award winner.
From blues, to rag time, to gentle acoustic folk, Ruth transitions easily without missing a beat.
"Le Musicien de la Rue" is the recounting of time she spent on the Paris streets playing her music with fellow artists. The song is a tribute to her confreres. It's melody is very Parisian and captures the taste and feel of that great city.
Ruth is one of the finest 6 string players we've seen.

"Musical Ambassador"

“With both her acoustic and electric guitar on hand, Ruth sang away the night and the story of America and it was enchanting to listen to”.... 2010 American Embassy

“Journey Down an American Music Highway’ is a highly entertaining live concert, using video clips as background to take us on a marvelous musical tour. Ruth Wyand, creator of the show, applies her soft bluesy voice and superb acoustical guitar skills to interpret songs from Stephen Foster, America’s first professional music composer of the early 19th century, to W.C. Handy, father of the blues. She continues through the mothers and fathers of many American genres, including folk, jazz, blues, country, folk revival, and rock and roll. But it is Wyand’s own interpretation of these songs that is not to be missed by travelers on this journey down America’s unique musical highway”. Richard Folsom

“Her vocal range is nearly limitless, and her delivery is heartfelt without sounding desperate. What really sets Wyand apart from her contemporaries is her deft manipulation of the guitar”.
Angelina Scioll, (The Philadelphia Music Forum Phila. PA)

...Wyand’s show is a walk, no a serenade, down the musical by- ways of American music. There isn’t a style of music or tradition she doesn't touch upon”.
Rick Kinnaird OBX Adventure & Travel

In these songs one could hear
the struggle of a nation and just how much it has progressed in as little as two centuries”
Farah Shamali - American University Kuwait 2010 American Embassy Tour

“...with her polished yet fiery guitar playing and gutsy vocals Wyand commands respect “.
