Ryan DeMont

Ryan DeMont

The pop poignancy of James Blunt meets the lyrical-good-time vibe of Jason Mraz. With lyrics and melody at it's core, Ryan's music dances the line of pop, country, and singer songwriter.

Ryan was born in Truckee CA., a still largely undiscovered skii town at the time, just north of Lake Tahoe. A son of two musicians, his mother a songwriter and his father an accomplished piano player, Ryan started playing piano at the age of 8. It wasn't until Ryan left highschool and an injury kept him from pursuing his aspirations of playing football that he first picked up a guitar. After a couple years in San Diego finding out that shool wasn't his bag, Ryan moved to LA to pursue acting. He started writing music at the same time and after playing his first finished song "Reality" for some freinds, he began to take a new road. Realizing his talent and love of music far outweighed his talent and love of acting, a songwriter was born. Ryan's first CD "Life Rolls On", was released in March of 2008 on OlivoiL Records. Produced by Cynthia Catania, the album has been very well recieved and the first single "Reality" can be heard on college radio Princessacross the country, and as the theme song on Nickolodeon program; Samurai Princess. Head Over Heels, the second single, has been licensed to the WB. Ryan has been successfully playing Los Angeles clubs and private events. Ryan commands attention with his sincere performances and honest songwriting. His songs are a mirror into his soul, as he is utterly transparent in his songwriting, and brings the same approach to the stage. www.myspace.com/ryandemont.
