My Lasting Reply is the solo project of singer/songwriter Ryan Enright.
Rather than harp on in the third person, I thought I would make this a little more personal and tell you about myself and my life. I absolutely love music, I think music is the most inspiring and powerful thing. I love songs that take me on a journey and captivate me with honest human emotions and cleverly constructed melodies. If a song sounds good with an acoustic guitar and vocals, then you know its a damn good song. I write music from the heart based on my life and my experiences. On these recordings I have tried to create an organic sound using acoustic-driven instrumentation, showing that good chord progressions, honest lyrics and catchy melodies are what makes a song truly memorable and timeless.
I have been singing ever since I can remember. I have video of footage of me as a toddler belting out the theme song to an old TV show called Burke's Backyard, it's very funny! But my musical journey really began on a family holiday around Australia when I decided, after hours and hours of listening to the same few cds, that I wanted to learn to play guitar and sing along to my favorite Green Day and Nirvana songs. Since then I have never looked back and music has been my number one passion in life. To be able to express my experiences and emotions through my own music is a gift I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Currently, I am working on my debut solo release as My Lasting Reply which I cant wait to share with the world. Stay tuned for more tracks over the coming weeks, and remember you only live once so chase your dreams and find what truly makes you happy!

My Lasting Reply is the exciting new project from Melbourne based singer/songwriter Ryan Enright. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Ryan's passion for songwriting and performing has earned him support slots with bands/artists from all over the world.
Ryan’s time as primary songwriter and lead vocalist/guitarist in bands Sunset Avenue and The Invitation, lead to multiple tours across the east coast and south of Australia. He has shared the stage with some of Australia’s finest talent including Gyroscope, Kisschasy, Airborne, Calling All Cars, Bliss n Esso & The Getaway Plan, as well as international acts Anberlin (USA), MxPx (USA), Motion City Soundtrack (USA), Houston Calls (USA), Millencolin (SWE), Project 86 (USA), Kenny Vasoli of The Starting Line (USA) & Mest (USA).
But it is with My Lasting Reply that Ryan has really found himself as a musician, captivating listeners through intricate melodies, honest lyrics, cleverly crafted chord progressions and a compelling use of instrumentation. With a growing list of songwriting awards, including four top 10 placings in the Australian Songwriting Association’s annual songwriting contest over the past 3 years, it is not surprising that his most recent works have gained airplay on major commercial radio stations Nova, Fox FM and Triple M nation-wide.
After a 6 month stint overseas traveling and songwriting throughout Europe, Ryan is back with a full band ready to conquer the music industry. In January this year, the band made their debut performance at the 2011 Australian Open supporting Bluejuice, an impressive show for any band let alone a first ever show. The band was then announced in April as a Top 10 finalist in this year's 'I Am With The Band' competition run by Nova FM, receiving national airplay and TV exposure (interview/performance footage) on Channel 11 (Channel 10's new digital channel). With a sold out EP launch at the John Curtin Hotel in Melbourne and their first interstate appearance now under their belts, the future looks bright for this up and coming act.
