Bio
RYAN HARRISON is a native of Southern California. Born to sing, he has been featured as a soloist and performing artist throughout his life from childhood into his adult years. With an amazing vocal and stylistic range, Ryan has performed in musicals and operatic oratorios, proving to be highly professional, agile, and vocally consistent from the stage to the recording studio. With “the voice of an angel,” as described by a prominent LA screen and television vocal contractor, Ryan aims to reinvent the term “solo male artist” in the adult contemporary pop genre. Some of Ryan’s achievements in music include:
* Released album of original songs, “It’s True,” March 2008
* Guest artist and featured soloist on folk album, “Meet Me on the Mountain,” released in 2007
* Named “Most Promising Male Vocalist” at the USA World Showcase Competition in 2006
* Featured soloist on nationally televised and recorded CBS Christmas Eve broadcast, Enter the Light of Life, 2004
* Grand Prize Winner of the national 15th Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest for original song “(I Just Can’t) Feel the Beat”
* Top 10% placement in Unisong International Songwriting Contest for original song “There’s No Winner in the End”
* Numerous concerts in intimate and large-audience settings featuring solos in a range of musical styles: classical, jazz, country, dance, and ballads
* Featured soloist for La Verne, CA, city-wide Independence Day Celebration
* BA in Music (emphasis in Voice) from the University of La Verne with Departmental Honors
