He saw a need to provide personal attention and elevated client service to all individuals of all income levels and not solely the high net-worth clientele. This prompted him to establish his own financial planning firm, Optimum Capital Management, LLC. He has achieved two licenses of insurance, a certification that enables him to give investment advice (Series 66), and is registered in the states of New York, Michigan, Ohio and California. He is often invited to speak within the community where he emphasizes the importance of developing a responsible investment plan which leads to financial independence. With a clientele representative of all income levels, through Optimum Capital Management, Mr. Mack continues to teach the merits of sound budget management and smart investing for all people.

Getting a Grip on Your Money

Course Overview

In the late 1990’s, the United States saw thousands get rich quickly by the irrational exuberance, and unprecedented gains of the stock market. Then, at the start of the new millennium, unprecedented losses were experienced. Since, many have compared investing to a weekend getaway at Las Vegas, or a nighttime drive to Atlantic City. However, investing is not gambling. It should be a well thought out plan that minimizes financial risk in your life, while also providing the most financial protection for your household and for future needs (planned and unplanned).

This class will dispel the myths of investing by focusing on sound investment principles for students preparing to graduate college. It will delve deeply into an intelligent and conservative strategy of putting together an investment plan. The plan will prepare future college graduates to endure the various types of short-term market fluctuations, and begin the journey towards the ultimate long term goal of financial independence. It will explain why not to invest, why to invest, what to invest, how much to invest, and the appropriate time to begin investing. Going deeply into various financial definitions, it will attempt to unveil the true meanings of what investing was originally intended to accomplish….financial independence.
