Window

Written By: Ryan Oliver

When we were young the two of us were a pair,
standing on the corner waiting for the school bus to get there.
We sat together but never said a word,
she was just too shy and I was just a nerd.
But when I finally spoke and broke the morning silence
she turned to me and smiled and said "Hi my name is Kaya".
Well I went home that night and I learned a few chords
and I wrote her a song on my Casio keyboard and it went,

Hey Baby, Hey Baby, Hey
Open up your window I'm singing a song for you.
And I know it's really lame and I may be a fool
but I am in love with you and I can't do a thing, but sing.

I had a plan and I was sure that it would work
if I could just work up the courage and stop being so nervous.
But second turned to third and seventh became eighth
and before we both knew it it was time to graduate.
She was movin off to college somewhere out of state.
Well I knew I had to do something and tomorrow would be too late.
So I grabbed my guitar and I flung it over my shoulder
and I ran across the street and at the top of my lungs I told her,

Hey Baby, Hey Baby, Hey
Open up your window I'm singing a song for you.
And I hope it's not too late, I may be a fool
but I am in love with you and I can't do a thing, but sing.

Sing, sing, sing, and the words go "She moved away and I missed my window".

Well I heard she was living somewhere out in Florida
and I had long since moved down to southern California.
And I found myself a woman who treats me real good
and it feels exactly how I imagine love should.
And I had forgotten about the girl from my past
until I heard the sound of pebbles bouncing off of glass.
So I rolled out of bed to see what was going on
and there she was standing in my front lawn singing,

Hey Baby, Hey Baby, Hey
Open up your window I'm singing a song for you.
And I hope it's not too late, I may be a fool
but I am in love with you, but I couldn't do a thing....

We missed our window.
It's over now.
We missed our window.

You missed your window.

Sinner

Written By: Ryan Oliver

I had a dream last night that both of us had died and you walked straight through the gates of heaven while I waited outside. God wouldn't let me in, he could not forgive my sins. But my fate would not be fire, no it would be so much worse, cursed to live alone as a ghost in our house on earth. And never allowed to leave or love again.

With that thought in mind I knew I didn't have much time I had to break that fucking gate down. Kiss you goodbye, just one more time before I face my hell.

So I ran right passed St. Peter, gave him the middle finger and screamed God can't keep me from her. I soared above the clouds until the angels beat me down and I begged God please...forgive this sinner.

I had a dream last night that somehow I survived. I heard a voice say that I was lucky to be alive. But my body would never wake, no, and my soul could not escape. They did all they could do, but could not save you. I'd never heard your father so angry. His baby girl was gone and he blamed me. Those who love you now hate me.

The only thing keeping me here is this machine beeping in my ear. My only hope left is to hold my breath and see what happens next.

So I ran right passed St. Peter, gave him the middle finger and screamed God can't keep me from her. I soared above the clouds until the angels beat me down and I begged God please...forgive this sinner.

Please forgive me.

I begged God please forgive this sinner.

I had a dream last night that both of us had died.
