Sabals

Sabals is an indie rock band currently based in Orlando, Florida. Their acoustic-meets-electronic compositions provide the heartfelt storytelling of the classic singer/songwriter, over soundscapes that surpass the present moment.

Beth Bynum (acoustic guitar, vocals) and Dan Bynum (guitar, synth, sampler) met in Los Angeles in 2010. Though both involved in other music projects at that time, they spent the next few years writing and recording songs together.

In 2013, Beth and Dan relocated to Dan's hometown in Central Florida. In April 2014, Jessica Vacha (drums), a veteran of the Orlando music scene, joined them to expand the simple acoustic style into a full spectrum of sound, marking the start of Sabals.

The trio recorded their debut EP ‘Covered In Red’ at their home in Orlando in May 2014 and it was released online on June 13th, 2014.

Sabals is currently recording an EP to be released by Eye Four Records in early 2015. The first single from the EP, "Blistering", was released on November 4th and has received international attention from music blogs as well as radio play on Seattle's KEXP.
