Still working on that hot first release.

Sabrina Demyen began sharing her talents at the age of 8, joining an all girls choir and participating in musical productions in her home town of Prince Albert, SK. By 13, Sabrina was introduced to her Grade 7 teacher Miss. Baker, who inspired her to pick up the guitar and start writing music and led Sabrina to her first ever solo performance playing “Linger” by The Cranberries during a talent search held at her school, and this was the beginning of Sabrina’s passion for performance. Soon after that, she began to showcase her talents in coffee shop open mics and small competitions as a folk singer, and people started to notice the young girl with the big voice.

In 2006, Sabrina auditioned for The Country North Show, an annual show produced by the Prince Albert Winter Festival. At 16 Sabrina wowed the judges with her unique voice and became the youngest cast member of the Country North Show. Near and dear to her heart, the show introduced Sabrina to her passion of country music, and shaped her into the upbeat, fun performer she is today. Sabrina continued in the Country North Show for 10 more years. With the start of a country music career, Sabrina then began touring the prairies and opening for Canadian country artists including The Road Hammers, Adam Gregory and Doc Walker.

With influences including Miranda Lambert and Shania Twain, Sabrina entered the studio with Rich McFarlane of Mosaic Music in Prince Albert SK and produced demos of several original songs with stories of young love, heartbreak and everything in between.

With a few successful years of performing under her musical belt, and a growing fan base, Sabrina had to step away from her musical career to deal with the effects of an abusive relationship. Now with a musical maturity and renewed passion, this single mom is back to pursue her career with more drive and motivation than ever. Sabrina was crowned the winner of the 2017 CKRM Proudly Saskatchewan Showcase, granting her a slot on the mainstage at Country Thunder Saskatchewan; as well as winning the “Spirit of Saskatchewan Songwriting Award” for her original song, “Baby.” Since then, she has begun performing widely again including showcases at Canadian Country Music Week in Saskatoon, sharing the stage with Doc Walker, and touring across her province of Saskatchewan, reminding people that the little girl with the big voice is all grown up and ready to shine. 2018 is going to be an exciting year for Sabrina, as she is ready to open her diary and record new music, as well as coach youth for the upcoming talent show “The Voice” in Prince Albert.

With a sound reminiscent of Dolly Parton crossed with Little Big Town, and the attitude of Gretchen Wilson, watch for Sabrina on tour throughout the prairies this spring and summer, with a single slated for radio release in early fall.
