Bio

Sabrina’s voice has been astounding audiences from childhood on.
Her life changed dramatically in her early teens and she became a runaway, busking on the streets of Victoria and Vancouver, Canada. Frequently attracting dozens of onlookers, who would listen, completely enthralled, as the young girl blew them away with the sheer power of her voice and the intensity of the feelings behind her words. Her songs captivate music lovers of every generation. This undiscovered “…virtuoso vocal talent…” (J.W Myles, City View Magazine) managed to turn the turmoil of her troubled youth into inspiring, emotionally charged lyrics of love, loss, triumph and self discovery. Her music boasts a combination of soaring harmonies and high energy rhythms that can move you to tears and have you dancing in your seat at the same time.

Classically trained at an early age, with a natural “…gift for singing...” (-Rita MacNeil, singer/songwriter) music has always been in her life. Sabrina’s extensive lists of musical accomplishments include winning the Shaw Star Discovery Contest in 2002 and the North Island Talent Hunt Showcase in 2003. She has performed on CBC radio, at the Island Music Festival, Pacific Contact (with award winning singer/songwriter Jeremy Walsh), multiple appearances on the New VI and Speakers Corner, as well as countless other venues and events around British Columbia. In 2002 she founded and produced The Acoustica Festival on Vancouver Island, an event that aims to promote new local talent and create a forum for the unique intimacy of acoustic performances.

Now at the age of 24, this hard-hitting, intensely personal songwriter has become the type of performer that really plays to her audience. Sabrina’s original music blends acoustic rock, folk, roots, and pop with subtle west coast charm. She has performed alongside John Gogo, Laura Love, Jeremy Walsh, Brian Plummer, Jeremy Fisher, Iris, Squish and Carolyn Mark to name a few.

Influenced by a wide variety of artists like Cat Stevens, The Indigo Girls, Janis Joplin, Alanis Morissette, Sarah Mclachlan, and Joni Mitchell her voice and acoustic guitar blend perfectly creating passionate sultry lows and spine tingling angelic heights that are absolutely unforgettable.
