BandFolkAcoustic

I'm a singer/songwriter influenced mostly by women singers. (Jewel, Sheryl, Jann, etc.) I perform acoustic sets, which can evolve to a ‘soft rock’ set when playing with a band. My lyrics are mostly metaphorical, and grab into the deep thoughts and souls of listeners!

Biography

Sabrina is a singer/sonwriter who's music and lyrics are a reflection of her 28 years of life experience and adventure. Being the middle child of 5 artsy-fartsies born of a singing/guitar-playing American father and a visually artistic and super creative French mother, she finds a need to live life to its fullest and expand her territory at every turn. She's traveled and lived in Canada from coast to coast. She visits and explores the USA and France when she can, and has even done some missionary work in Jamaica. Needless to say her social and adventurous lives are far from dull... and this certainly mirrors her music, and her personality!

Lyrics

Catapult

Written By: Sabrina Roberts

Catapult me to the sky so I can fall for you
I don’t know why I never knew
What can be shared, what makes us care
The souls in our chests are lonesome and empty
A place in the heart of another is tempting

A touch on the hip, a squeeze to the thigh
A rub that almost makes me cry

I hope it is you, not the thought of you
Is this really true
I don’t wanna be in love with your mouth
I don’t wanna have any doubt that I love you

I’ve been thinking ‘bout a love I lost
Still suffering from the damage and the cost
I don’t wanna have to search for that spark in your eye
I don’t wanna have to beg, I don’t wanna have to try
Thank you for telling me my life should begin
You grab me by the hips and you let me in

Screaming Urge

Written By: Sabrina Roberts

Waiting for you to come along
Awaken me to hear that song again

All my decisions weighing on you
All my confusion’s seeping through
Wait until I look up to the sky
Then tell me why you tried

Committing all my sins to taste
Forgive me please, don’t let me waste away

I wait ‘til Sunday when He rests
No one will bother with the mess
I wait ‘til all my scars are gone
When hope will prove you wrong

I wait awake and hold it close
To me, I hope it will bestow
Another wink of seduction
To calm the screaming urge within

Faith In Fate

Written By: Sabrina Roberts

It only comes when you are alone
It only comes to tell you something strong
It only comes when you’re vulnerable
And you want to know what you have known

Are you in tune with the expectations, explanations
For why you are what you are?
You will have to accept your installation to the constellations
Set up for you. I believe in that, do you?

It draws you in when it’s doing you good
It makes you yell when the timing’s not right
It brings you to tears when you realize
You know that it’s playing what it should

Are you in tune with the expectations, explanations
For why you are who you are?
You will have to accept your installation to the constellations
Set up for you. I believe in that, do you?

You scare yourself ‘cause you know the path is straight
You wear no blind fold but your eyes are shut when you breathe
You imagine your world in colour
Even though the future’s grey and will not show its face

Are you in tune with the expectations, explanations
For why you are where you are?
You will have to accept your installation to the constellations
Set up for you. I believe in that, do you?
I can believe in that, can’t you?
I have believed in that, won’t you?
I do believe that I do believe in that, do you?
